If you’re dreaming of epic hikes, vibrant cities, desert oases, and of course, llama encounters – Peru should be at the very top of your travel bucket list. I spent three weeks exploring this incredible country, and honestly – it blew me away at every turn. From ancient Incan ruins to adrenaline-filled adventures, Peru is the kind of destination that makes traveling feel exciting and endlessly rewarding.

One week I was sandboarding in the desert oasis of Huacachina, the next I was standing at the edge of Colca Canyon watching condors soar overhead and before I knew it, I was hiking the legendary Inca Trail to Machu Picchu (talk about a HUGE bucket list moment!) Add in the colorful chaos of Cusco, the coastal vibes of Lima, and some seriously delicious food along the way (hello ceviche and pisco sours!), and you’ve got the ultimate adventure.

Whether you’re a history buff, foodie, hiker, or adrenaline junkie, Peru has something for every kind of traveler. It’s easy to meet fellow solo adventurers along the way, the locals are incredibly welcoming and it’s surprisingly easy to get around – making it a great destination if it’s your first solo trip or your tenth.
