By the time I stepped onboard the Disney Wish for my sixth contract (and later, my seventh!), life at sea had become second nature. What once felt like a dream job was now my everyday reality — and honestly? Still just as magical as Day One.
From spontaneous Disney World park visits to crew beach days at Castaway Cay, this chapter was packed with pinch-me moments, heartwarming milestones, and unforgettable memories with my ship bestie.

Living the Dream on the Disney Wish
This contract brought me back to the classic “Nassau Express” itinerary—a route I knew like the back of my hand. The real highlight? Twice-weekly crew beach days at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island paradise. Think: turquoise water, soft white sand, and the most peaceful vibes. I never got tired of it. Ever.
Even better? I was reunited with my best friend from previous contracts! We were so inseparable that the Safety Team assigned us to the same Assembly Station #AssemblyTeamGandHForever (I don’t think they actually did on purpose but it certainly was a happy accident haha!)
- Morning visits to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios
- Fancy Palo dinners with chocolate soufflé to end the night
- Sweet towel animals waiting in our cabin every night

Celebrating 25 Years of Disney Cruise Line
2023 marked Disney Cruise Line’s 25th Anniversary, and it was as magical as you’d expect. We celebrated with Shimmering Seas sailings—complete with aqua blue decor, exclusive anniversary character outfits, and beautiful limited-edition crew name tags. It felt historic, and being part of it was truly unforgettable.
A Sneak Peek at the Disney Treasure – Keel Coin Photoshoot
One of the biggest surprises of this contract? Participating in the keel coin photoshoot for Disney Cruise Line’s next ship, the Disney Treasure! At the time, I had no idea I’d be joining the opening team for that very ship. Taking those photos now feels like a full-circle moment. Manifestation magic? Maybe.✨
Giving Back with Disney VoluntEARS
One of my favorite parts of this contract was joining the Disney VoluntEARS program. We spent the day at a children’s home in Nassau, planting a vegetable garden and playing volleyball with the kids. There were smiles, fresh coconuts, and so much joy. It was a grounding, beautiful experience that reminded me why I love working for Disney.
Celebrating 5 Years of Disney Magic
This contract also marked a huge personal milestone—5 years with Disney Cruise Line! Captain Mickey himself presented me with my official 5-Year Service Pin, featuring Pluto. I felt so proud of how far I’d come: five years of growth, adventure, and magic both on and off the ship.
