On my trip to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea (and my whole Japan trip let’s be honest), my main mission was… the snacks! From wacky popcorn flavors to little green alien shaped mochi, the snacks at Tokyo Disney Resort are arguably the cutest and most unique that you’ll find in any of the Disney Parks around the world!

There are so many snacks to try, I didn’t get to try everything but I certainly gave it my best shot haha! Here are the top 10 snacks I tried on my two days at Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea and where you can find them in the parks.

1. Little Green Dumplings

Rating: 5 out of 5.

The most popular Tokyo Disney snack – the little green alien mochi dumplings! This adorable snack is filled with a sweet filling (you will get one of each – custard, chocolate, and strawberry), making these an irresistible treat. Plus, they’re so Instagrammable that you’ll want to take a pic before taking a bite! They definitely lived up to the hype.

Location
Disneyland: Pan Galactic Pizza Port and Soft Landing – Tomorrowland
DisneySea: Mamma Biscotti Bakery – Mediterranean Harbour and food cart in front of the S.S. Columbia

2. Mickey Glove Teriyaki STEAMED Bun

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I’ve never had a sandwich as cute as this. A soft, fluffy sweet bun shaped like Mickey’s glove, stuffed with savory teriyaki chicken filling. The texture is perfect, and the teriyaki sauce adds just the right amount of sweetness and umami, plus, it’s mega kawaii.

Location
Disneyland: Huey, Dewey and Louie’s Good Time Cafe – Toontown

3. Mike Wazowski Melon Pan

Rating: 4 out of 5.

If you love Monsters, Inc., you’ll love this melon pan! This Japanese sweet bread has a crisp, sugary exterior with a fluffy, soft inside. “I don’t believe it…” – Mike Wazowski

Disneyland: Sweet Heart Cafe
DisneySea: Mamma Biscotti’s Bakery – Mediterranean Harbour

4. Popcorn – Allll the Flavors!

Rating: 4 out of 5.

One of Tokyo Disneyland’s most iconic snack offerings is their popcorn. You can find unique flavors that you won’t find anywhere else, like soy sauce & butter, honey, and curry! It’s a fun experience to try as many flavors as you can and pick your favorite.

Pro tip: You can even buy limited edition themed popcorn buckets that are as cute as the snacks themselves!

Here’s a list of some of the popcorn flavors you can find around the parks:

  • Caramel
  • Soy Sauce & Butter
  • Milk Chocolate
  • Curry
  • Salt
  • Honey
  • Black Pepper
  • Corn Potage
  • Strawberry Napoleon
  • Salted Caramel
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Roast Beef
  • White Chocolate
  • Garlic-Shrimp

Location: Various popcorn carts throughout both parks (check out the Tokyo Disneyland website for the most up to date popcorn cart locations)

5. Mickey-Shaped Churros

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Churros are a Disney snack staple, but Tokyo Disneyland takes it up a notch with making them Mickey-shaped! While you can find different flavored regular churros, the Mickey-shaped ones are only available in the classic cinnamon-sugar flavor.

Location:
Disneyland: Tomorrowland Terrace
DisneySea: High Tide Treats and Hudson River Harvest at American Waterfront

6. Mickey-Shaped Pizza

Rating: 5 out of 5.

This cute and savory snack is a fun spin on the classic pizza. The crust is perfectly crispy and golden, topped with gooey cheese and… corn? (In Japan we don’t ask questions haha!) I could’ve eaten ten of these it was so good!

Chicken nuggets, but make them mickey shaped. 10/10.

8. Mickey-Shaped Donut

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Is there any better way to start your day at the park than with a classic Mickey-shaped donut?

Location:
DisneySea: Mamma Biscotti’s Bakery – Mediterranean Harbor

9. Gyoza Dog

Rating: 4 out of 5.

When gyoza meets hot dog! This snack is the ultimate fusion of Japanese and American street food. A crispy gyoza (Japanese dumpling) wrapper wraps around savory fillings like pork or chicken, and it’s served like a hot dog. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this, but it was SO GOOD.

Location: Nautilus Galley – Mysterious Island, DisneySea

10. Mickey’s Castella Cake

Rating: 3 out of 5.

This soft, spongy cake is a nod to a traditional Japanese treat, but with a Disney twist. It’s shaped like Mickey’s head and has a light, fluffy texture.

DisneySea: Sebastian’s Calypso Kitchen

Bonus snacks that I didn’t get to try but wish that I did:

11. Donald Duck Ukiwa Bun

This adorable steamed bun is shaped like a life ring, and it’s filled with shrimp. Sounds a little weird, but it’s on my to-try list for next visit!

Location:
DisneySea: Seaside Snacks – Port Discovery

12. Chandu’s Tail

This adorable treat is a long, twisted piece of dough, lightly fried, and coated with sugar. It’s a simple but delicious snack, and it’s shaped to resemble Chandu’s tail, a character from Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage, a ride exclusive to DisneySea.

Location:
Sultan’s Oasis – Arabian Coast, DisneySea

13. Sea Salt Monaka

A strawberry flavored ice-cream sandwich with a waffle cone exterior – for the little mermaid lovers as it’s shaped like a sea shell!

With so many kawaii and unique snacks to choose from, Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea are home to my favourite Disney snacks in the world (I still dream about that Mickey Glove teriyaki bun haha!) Happy snacking!
